Americans settled in for a long night of election returns Tuesday, with many states too close to call in early counts.

많은 주들이 근소한 차이로 경합을 벌이며 승자를 발표하지 않은 가운데 , 미국인들은 대선이 돌아온 화요일에 긴 밤을 보냈다.


President Donald Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden are facing off in an election that, due to an increase in mail-in voting, did not follow a traditional election night timeline. 

우편투표의 증가로 인해 전통적인 선거일정을 지키지 못한 이번 대선에서 도널드 트럼프 대통령과 조 바이든 민주당 대통령 후보가 맞붙고 있다.


It's possible a projected winner may not be known for days.

당선자가 며칠 동안 정해지지 않을 가능성이 높다.


The race has been called in Kentucky (8 electoral votes), Mississippi (6), Missouri (10), South Carolina (9), Louisiana (8), Alabama (9), Kansas (6), Utah (6), South Dakota (3), North Dakota (3), Indiana (11), Tennessee (11), West Virginia (5), Arkansas (6), Wyoming (3), Oklahoma (7), Idaho (4), Ohio (18), Florida (29), Texas (38) and Montana (3) for Trump.

Four of Nebraska's five electoral votes have also been called for Trump.

And Biden is the projected winner in California (55), New York (29), New Jersey (14), Illinois (20), Oregon (7), Washington D.C. (3), Massachusetts (11), Maryland (10), Delaware (3), New Hampshire (4), Virginia (13), Minnesota (10), Rhode Island (4) and Vermont (3). He also secured one vote from Nebraska.

Biden has 224 electoral votes and Trump has 213. The winner needs 270. In the battleground states of Georgia, Pennsylvania, Florida, North Carolina, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and possibly even Texas, experts said they won't be able to call the state for either candidate until they have a full picture of all the votes.

바이든은 224명, 트럼프는 213명의 선거인단을 확보한 상태다. 당선까지는 270명이 필요하다. 경합주인 조지아, 펜실베이니아, 플로리다, 노스캐롤라이나, 미시건, 미네소타, 오하이오, 그리고 심지어 텍사스 주에서도, 전문가들은 개표가 완료되기 전까지는 두 후보 중 어느 한 후보도 승리를 확정 짓지 못할 것이라고 설명했다.


With 68 percent of votes reported, Pennsylvania (20) favored Trump, but the mail-in ballot counting is expected to stretch into days so the state may not be called Tuesday night.

개표율 68%의 펜실베이니아(선거인단 20명) 주는 트럼프가 앞섰지만, 우편투표 개표에 며칠이 걸릴 것으로 보여, 펜실베이니아 주는 화요일 밤에 승자가 확정되지 않을 것으로 보인다.
